Some great tools for confined engine space & those real awkward bolts in nasty recess with no direct tool route is Swivel Socket Spanners & Universal Joint sockets.
Can really make an awkward job almost easy & saves a lot of time & possible damage to yourself or item you working on.
Prices on these are reasonable too with 12pc swivel socket set as cheap as £25 & better mid range quality around £65+
Universal Joint sockets in 3/8 drive & 10pc set is as cheap as £20- with mid range around £35.
Those swivel Socket spanners have saved me some headaches & time over the years, if do look at buying some try buy ones with full machined depth in socket so allows for longer exposed thread on studs & bolts when working on the nut as this design point really makes the tools more usable.

These will be going on my Christmas list for sure Smile I have so many different types of spanners in my toolbox but only use a few them. However that one moment where you need a slightly different type of one makes it all worthwhile Smile

Yup ratchet spanners are awesome, I like the flexible head type ones aswell, makes getting into those hard to reach places easier.
