Thanks Bob, I'll be on here as much as I can. It's great to be getting back to the GTIR community. Missed you guys!

Here's a link to some pics of my grey and also the white Pulsars I had.

The white one was still on the original 14 year old paint as well. It you look really closely in the pictures you can see the single stone chip on the bonnet!

I took it to The Garage in Wishaw when I first bought it and the guy said "emm this looks like it's been in a crash, this whole side is brand new........... actually wait a minute.....sorry mate it's not been in a crash, the whole car is brand new. I've never seen one like this!"

Hi and welcome, that's a lovely looking car you have there.

The white one looks soooo mint. I'm sure it would be even better in person. The second picture really shows off the quality of the paint.

Yeah it took me a few months to find one in that condition then I sold it to my mate for "mates rates" a couple of years later. Doh!

Your mate should sell it back to you for mates rates grant then send it to me

Ha ha! He sold it onto another one of my mates for pretty much next to nothing, although he didn't keep it maintained so was in a sorry state when my other pal bought it.

I had the opportunity to buy it back once he was selling it on again, but by that point it was a 4 owner car and he had also crashed it then repaired it!

The guy he sold it on to wrote it off on the way home, it was a pretty serious crash with the guy being hospitalised and the police turning up at my mates house to question him about the car. They were only wanting to know if it was roadworthy as the current owner wasn't in any fit state to answer any questions. Apparently the side sill was bent into the middle of the car as he slid side on into the front of oncoming traffic!

That's terrible news, I bet you were disappointed to hear the final demise of it. Unfortunately so many of these cars have ended up that way. Need to look after the ones that are on the road now.
