Yeah im sure the site will get there in time Bobby.I need to take it apart and rebuild it.It started to smoke under hard acceleration so did a comp test and im getting between 125-135psi on three of cylinders and 145 on the other one so think the rings are fried or the ring lands have cracked Crying or Very sad

it maybe ringlands luke
if so providing the bores arent scored you can get away with removing the head and sump then just honing out the cylinders
ive got good stock pistons if needed so shouldnt cost hardly anything to sort out
it was running between 145 and 155 across all 4 but things can change at a drop of hat with these motors.
give me a shout should you need any help, advice or parts to fix

Yeah its the joys of old cars aint it mate.Im hoping it hasnt scored the bores so i can get away with a budget rebuild hopefully.I'll start stripping it in the next month so if i need anything i'll give you a shout mate.

But its a gti-r you know something will go wrong whilst puttin it back t'gether, where bouts in essex are you mate.

Near colchester mate.Guessing your just down the a120 at stansted then.Wer have to sort out meeting up sometime if there both ever on the road at the same time lol.

OK Bobby your a star i've priced the rest of the bits up to rebuild it and the parts from work are silly cheap.Even cheaper then the rebuild bits i bought for my renault 5 gtt when i rebuilt that.
