Ice bucket challenge

Has anyone on here done this ice bucket challenge thing?

It's basically people throwing a bucket of ice cold water over them for charity while being filmed and the person who's doing it gets to nominate a few people to do it.

I'm not sure on all the rules, heard you had to get it done within 24 hours and not sure how many people you can nominate.

I think this is for some disease where you can't move or talk a bit like having a stroke or ms.

ALS or something but i see mcmillan has taken the challenge as their own and alot of people are donating to them instead as its being advertised more by mcmillan

I seen something today about how much of the donations actually go to the charity and its quite disturbing and a reason i dont donate to charity companies, so called "non profit" where the major ranks of these companies earn so much money, the post i seen today broke down the wages and a huge list of these people earning well over 100k within the als charity working out at over 12mil just for the listed people (which comes from donations). Dont get me wrong i im a charity giver but id rather hand some money or buy a tea and sandwich for the homeless guy in the street but im not one for fueling some charities ceo's bentley.

I also think think its turning into another trend more that a charity thing similar to neck nominations

i agree sye ive seen similar to those non profit charitys .... ive done that a few times with the homeless shot into mcdonalds and bought them a dinner .... i kinda figure you give them money its either going on drink or drugs ....

Yeah exactly its sickening that a charity is actually just a huge business who sell nothing and provide no service, now i wouldnt mind if the money was used to cover expenses for workers traveling or medication but wages like that are not really selling it to me.

Yeah the homeless in tge street seem to be the only legit charity these days, even people in the street asking you to sign up for various charities earn big commisions for every signup they get

Yeah ive been nominated by an old college friend but undecided whether im going to do it yet. Apparently some bloke died after jumping into and old quarry in Scotland. I guess they thought they would up the challenge and got it wrong.
