yellow gtri in Horsham spotted

Hi all,
My Pulsar gtir is as good as finished, running  under 1100kgs/ 550bhp on a twin scroll turbo etc so will finish the last few bits over the winter and finally be out on track next spring,

Havent spoke to any Pulsar owners for ages ( will give Bob a call soon as it looks like he's been a busy boy - wondered why i hadnt bumped into him at a track day this year  )

Anyways- I was on my way back from Dunsfold "wings and wheels" event today and as i got to Horsham, i spotted a beautiful yellow gtir going the other way,
If i didnt have my baby boy and mrs with me i'd of turned round at the roundabout and caught up for a closer look.

I was in my concourse- 560 bhp gloss black escort cosworth so if it was anyone from here they may have noticed me?
Car looked great and made me wish i'd finished my project this summer.
it's almost ready but i figured the summer was nearly over so no point rushing after almost 5 years building it..

Anyone off here know the car- it looked in very good condition..?

There was a nice yellow one on ebay a month or so back .... it had white comps looked really clean ....could be same one ...

Best looking wheels for the GTIR - i have red ones fitted to my gtir- also the only wheels that can fit my 8pots behind them without huge spacers...

Anyone know the yellow car?

I havent seen one around for ages, I saw another escort cossie whilst out aswell- must be the Wings and Wheels event or maybe just the bank holiday sun getting people out for a drive,

Ive only covered 135 miles in my escort all year   

Maybe been going for a map ..... that yellow one was all forged running some good power iirc ....

Only just got my back on the road but it's spent most of the time having new bits fitted and I remember that yellow one in eBay looked very nice

There was a Ford meet in Box Hill Surrey today, I was there in the MK1, Danny took his Pulsar  Yes I agree too that Compomotives are the best, especially white ones

Sadly i havent seen the gtir since i last posted pics on the modifiers club.

Its been to Nortech,M.A.Developments and spec R for the best of what they can do.

Its still at Spec R awaiting finishing touch's like a gearbox oil cooler although it has a 1000bhp capable spec R intercooler, oil cooler and rad all custom made to fit already and so if i wanted i could collect it and have it mapped to suit- its running a twin scroll Borg Warner capable of 600bhp on the 2ltre. so i aim for a safer 550 bhp to hit the track and enjoy..

Truth is i have got side tracked with other toys and so keep ordering more mods so i dont have to go and collect it lol.

I'm selling up most my toys this winter and so will have space and time to enjoy the R next year..

been doing a lot of euro trackdays this year and only a couple in uk
last couple of months have been manic as were opening on 1st September and been a lot going on

yeah the yellow one was advertised by a guy on here a while back and was also on ebay looked like a nice motor but don't know a great deal about it or who bought it

Think they were two seperate cars bob ....the yellow one off here advertised wasnt the same car on ebay as he sent the pics direct to me to post up for him ....

Ive been over there aswell,

Back to Spa on the 9th, doing the ring the on the 6th and 7th.

Taking the CSL as although the 1M and my evo are probably quicker ive found what i believe to be the best drive to the track/track car ever made.

The CSL with a few handling and performance mods is epic.
I know i wont convince you of going the BMW route but if we catch up at a track day you'l have to have a go- i can keep up/leave behind gtr's with it on track so you would enjoy  

I'll give you a bell and will definately come along to your open day if you are having one?

The yellow car was really looking good- not one ive seen on any of the forums before but i havent been looking as much as i used too..
Somebody off here will no doubt know the current owner..

in all fairness Jamie theres nothing wrong with bmw's there bloody quick cars and extremely well built. those clk's though have bags n bags of torque and if you ditched some of the weight make for extremely quick track cars

I just find german cars bland to look at and some of the people that drive them are complete and utter cocks (not you of course lol)

were looking at purchasing a house about 10 minutes drive from the ring and gp circuit and should know next week if offers been accepted so if we get it you can come over and we can have a little tear up on the gp circuit as my cars far better now than it used to be and much quicker, but now need to get some descent track tyres on there as the mpss start rolling on the side walls when you really push it

As for track tires, my mate with the white gtr you met- swears by the oe run flats on track- shit in the wet, but he thinks they hold up well due to their stiff side walls - he's bought about ten part worn sets off a guy that runs them as hire track cars.

CSL still puts the biggest grin on my face as you can carry so much speed with them even tho it's a mere 370bhp, they are so well balanced- you have to come out in it and see what you think-

i think another pal has 2 rears and one front- 2012 edition magnesium ones.
Bought from one of my other pals who had a blow out at 200mph and then bought a whole new set of four.
