what do you recommend for brakes?

any 4 pot kit is a massive improvement over stock, all depends on your budget and the intended use of the car

I was going to say ones that stop you
there is plenty of choices if you can fabricate brackets to fit the calipers...

The question is, what's the most worth while upgrades I can do right now?

With what .... your brakes ...???? Or the car itself ???

I would like to keep it under 5k right now. But more next year.

You got a fair few mods already ....i would defo think about brakes before much else not much point having big power if you cant stop the thing .... well worth mods brake lines uprated fuel pump plus a direct power feed with relay mod as obviously wiring looms are pretty old now .... make sure the car is spot on before going to far ...

I would say deffo the brakes and probably suspension too
Then stuff like a free flowing elbow / exhaust and a few handling mods to help you put the power down without it under steering and being generally to sloppy

brakes, decent tyres, good struts/springs, lower & upper braces, modena front diff.
Have a checkup on a rolling road to see how it running, fuelling ok & current power.

One thing I've noticed, when the engine is relatively cold and I go about 1/3 throttle maybe 1/4 throttle. I can watch the boost gauge go up to about.1 or .2 bar and then I can hear the bov open and it will loose pressure, then jump back up and kind of stutter and do it again once or twice. The weird thing is, if it's doing it and I put more throttle it stops. I'll try and get a video of it doing it. But I think it has something g to do with the Greddy e manage. Thoughts?

I wouldnt be reving it to much from cold its not very good practice ....does it only do it when cold or same when warm ...????

I try not to Rev above 3500rpms when it's still cold. And it will still do it in that rpm range. It will do it when it's warm too, just not as often

Do you think its the boost leak from the bov try blocking it off and see if it still have the same problem...

Problem is, I'm not entirely sure where the bov is, it sounds like an aftermarket one. But I can't see one on the cold side of the intercooler piping.

Also, the bov works fine when at full boost and doesn't open accidentally. Full boost is about. 7 bar. Is that factory?

O.7 is factory boost level ..... check just under the plenum as it meets the ic pipe on right hand side that is where the stock bov is plumbed in ....

So ive found a local guy who has front and rear nismo strut braces and some new sr special shocks with rsr lowering springs. Says he can do $500 for everything is that a decent price?
