I was given a turbo by my mate that has a nissan 200sx, it is an upgraded turbo,
It does not use an internal waste gate, it uses an external waste garage instead, I have no idea what this means, if it's worse or better would someone be able to give me some advice please

I would say depends on what you want from the car, think if your running big hp then generally you go for a turbo with an external wastegate. What spec are you currently running?

I guess it doesnt matter to much with a bigger turbo as it will aid in spool up time
