I know it's a common problem... Anybody has a tutorial or any hints can help me removing the lining and fixing the problem?

the head lining comes off easily mostly just poppers

the rattle will be the thin metal beams that run on underside of roof, you can either pack the gap out with some cardboard or sponge type material or some people use silicone between the gap this then stops it from vibrating

Just did mine a couple of weeks ago. Could have done with some help getting it back in again but nothing too difficult. Had to take out the trim round the rear windows as well to get to some of the fittings. I filled the gaps with silicon, as Bob said, and then stuck some sound deadening pads to the underside of the roof. Made quite a difference.

Just a tip but all I did was from the boot pull off the boot seal just at the top and pulled just a little of the lining down and sprayed some expanding foam in( not much) and bingo sorted. If you want put a board on the inside of the car up against the roof lining and brace it with a bit of wood off the rear seat while the foam dries

Different approach. Shocked
Can you get it far enough forward from there to cover the front beams?

Would of thought mr bones would of just cut a hole in it :-D
suppose you may get enough access from back popped down to even run a sealant quite some way up the bars & be enough to stop the rattle. Worth looking at for those who shy of full lining removal.

I have a foam gun for work on trade foam cans and that sprays it about 3ft so you can get it were ever you want really. Sounds like a short cut but it is better than silicone I think

If take lining off I would recommend black pu40, just lift bar a little  run sealant full length in minimal bead & job jobbed better than the nissan factory :-) will make roof more rigid too as pu40 or similar proper industrial/engineering adhesive.
