Thank you Lieghton, it was a 1600 engine originally with around 70 bhp, so lots done to the engine by a well known engine tuner in the Ford world  Smile

I think tuned up 1700 Kent lumps were what went in a lot of Caterham's, back in the day. Does that graph show 145 lbs/ ft around 2500 rpm?

I just went on the Torque stats website & your figures predict a 0-60 in 5.3, 0-100 in 15.8, quarter mile 14.29 @ 95! Pretty close!

yeah caterhams used the 1700 kent lump and most ran twin 40s or 45s

driven a couple of them and they go very well and make a nice induction noise too  Cool

that's a lovely car kerime, not a fan of the anglias but love the mk1 escort and love the colour too

That's pretty good then, I am hoping now its been on the rolling road to run a high 13 sec, with a good 60ft time its possible  Smile  I am not sure if that torque figure is at 2500rpm, I was really happy that, the Torque figure is now 144 Ibs, it used to be 128 Ibs before I had a bit of work done last year  Smile
