Has anybody done this? ive got my intake off and i want to get rid of the metal pipe that runs over the intake, i want to use a silicone hose all the way thru to the brake booster.

I know that my explenation wasnt good so theres a picture, im on about the pipe towards the top left of the picture

If it aint broke, don't fix it!, seriously thouh mate, if you do get rid of the steel pipe you need to get proper brake booster pipe from a motor factors, not silicone as it won't do the job and lets face it brakes need to be right.
