My car has been running fine pulls through the rev range strong..
Recently I've been fiddling around with the O2 sensor as I discovered it was dead!  Found the issue the wire was broken.
So soldered it up it was sorted ! Given me a reading.

But my car performance dropped! Car felt the same till about 5000rpm  then theres no power.
I Haven't touched any other part of the car simply just the sensor cleaned it fixed the wire.thats it.

So I thought it might be a faulty sensor il just disconnect it again then I will be back to normal. But no car remains the same.

Any ideas guys?

Is like i have upset something through the sensor. If that's bloody possible

Yep without me pushing my stuff your better off buying a sh one from me as I test them to make sure ohms readings are within spec

Many of those cheap eBay ones don't measure up with the correct reading needed to stop them pulling timing and dropping the boost

Its original Nissan det sensor. I got it off Ben FF pulsar. I tested it thoroughly with a meter too. Also there is no fault codes coming up..

Have not done nothing to the car apart from touching the o2 sensor.

How do you test them Bob, Can you test it whilst fitted to engine or dous it need to be removed? & what ohm readings should it be?

I tested mine with a multimeter i back probed off the sensor you should get around 2.5v

To check the wire 5v.

Starting to think the O2 sensor may have been faulty causing it to fuel incorrectly triggering the knock sensor.. Then shite mode?

Only one way to find out fault code check?

No faults! Just checked

When the car was running fine two wires from the O2 sensor was-connected
Could just the red wire be causing havoc?

Now what Evil or Very Mad

Proper way to check them is with an ohms meter (not volts)
Should be showing anything above .57 mega ohms

And no they don't always come up as a fault

Could it be a boost leak? Would be a big coincidence as I've touched the O2 sensor only...

What's the quickest and best way of testing for boost leaks?
