missfire/vicious jerking

so i took my car for a drive down to see my pal and i had it parked on a hill, i then set off back home about 10 minutes later and it started jerking really hard anything above 2k rpm or going up a hill, i believe its a missfire, the engine runs spot on at idle and i cant hear any noises or knocking, and the car drives fine below 2k rpm.

i called bob to get his opinion and he offered some advice, so i went and did a fault code test and its giving me 55, which means all clear...

i cant work it out, fuel is fine,oil pressure is normal, any ideas guys?

ok if shes showing 55 still don't rule out the afm as they don't always show as a code

other things it could be are as follows
dodgy walbro fuel pump or blocked filter sock in tank (common now with this)
blocked fuel filter fitted to bulkhead
plugs breaking down
dizzy rotor arm grubscrew come out and rotor moved slightly or badly worn cap
ign amp module or faulty coil

unfortunately its a process of elimination
remove the spark plugs and see what colour they are as that will give an indication of any fuelling issues

check those out first as more than likely one of the above

ok bob ill check the plugs first, and work my way back, is that filter easy to find?

yeah tcheck the in tank one first though as the filter sock may be blocked with a fine film of oil debris, if the sock looks like its been sucked in then that's an indication

How much petrol did you have in the tank .... could it not be fuel surge bob ???

under the first line nomad, it popped really loud twice when it jerked, like a backfire crack

The other thing it could possibly be is your turbo as you were having troubles
Is it chucking out more smoke now than it was before?
I'm wondering if the turbine has discintigrated and the car is massively over fuelling due to turbo not spooling this can be identified by colour and condition of your plugs

thats a good idea bob, i hope it hasnt, wont that mean i have imprellar parts in my intercooler? i best get a lift to work hadnt i haha

No sometimes it will go straight through the exhaust and out the back but you would end up with loads of smoke out the rear I would have thought

Has the intercooler pipe popped off?

Already suggested that stu and he said there all on there

not that i can see mate, they are all tight, im just about to go check my plugs and see what they look like, hope its nothing serious

was a dodgy live connection to batt location kit arcing out on the chassis
lucky the whole lot never went up in smoke, just goes to show that you can never rule anything out as so many things can cause the same type of probs

yeah guys its fixed rang bob straight away haha, could have been really dangerous though, im gong over all the wires and making sure all of them are secure and taped up ! on the plus side my new turbo arrived and my new shifter

What tubby did you end up getting mate ???

just a stock replacement, more than ok for now mate
