There's a storm brewing lol

Just been on the gtr oc regarding selling a few bits for the gtr that I've removed

There's a guy on there who I met at Santa pod last summer with a green gtr which was running stage 4map which svm had done so was same as mine.

In a nutshell his engines just exploded and cars at jm imports in Geordie land after being pulled away from svm as guy wasn't happy with being ripped off for £££££

I posted about the shite map they did on my car too as it really wasn't good at all but litchfield soon sorted that out
Seems that svm are too busy bragging about the 1500+Bho car they have built instead of spending more time getting the small fry 650bhp cars right
Just had a pm from the guy who's engine blew up and once he has all the facts he's publishing it all on the forum   
He said once he has all the facts he's going to publish the findings with regard to everything svm have done so shits gonna hit the fan big time.
Don't forget your dealing with engines here that cost not far short of 40k from Nissan so probably would be cheaper to buy another car

Not good... Sounds like another well known tuner is going to get a bad name. But its there own fault if they bring it upon them selves I suppose.  

yeah theres a lot more to it than just his engine blowing up
he paid a lot of money for a full service a month prior and the list of stuff that's wrong with the car is unbelievable eg rear pads down to metal, braided line rubbing on wheel and worn through and a load of other stuff too, pretty bad for a top motorsport company like seven valley, you would expect better than main dealer service for the amount they charge

Is this Severn valley motorsports that started off as cossy specialists in the 80/90s in Telford?

They were the guys to see back in the day!

It's a shame that the guys engine had blown... Wouldn't fancy the bill for that!
He needs to be careful with what he's doing taking on a big company like it looks they are now! Could work out to be a huge law suit costing him a fortune to fight or even defend what he has said about them.

I remember when kempy did the cosworth transit van they even put a cossy engine Ina plastic pig

its ok modding all these carsa to run silly stupid bhp but people don't really know the full truth of what they are paying for and its big business with huge amounts of money involved.

all these big bhp cars that have come out to me I believe its just purely to showcase there company and nothing more
yes they may well do 7 sec 1/4 mile and hit 230mph in 2 mile run but the thing is what people don't realise is that these cars are built for one specific purpose and then they blow up (but they don't tell you this) its all kept hush hush then all the people are thinking WOW I want them to build my car like that, as money is no object to some of these people
what people don't realise is once there car is built and mapped it will be lucky if it lasts a year before something goes kaboom!
so in a twisted way these companies are not telling people the full truth and actually the service or packages they are supplying are actually unfit for purpose but at the end of the day they are the ones laughing all the way to the bank

I think the modding/tuning industry needs to be blown wide open and actual facts put down on what you are getting yourselves into and not covered up with a croc of bullshit just to line the big boys pockets. at least then its peoples choice as to whether they have work done or decide against it.......not lies and deceit that's all swept under the rug as soon as someone complains be it a forum or what ever

I agree, everything these days is all computers & technology & people just think its a failsafe & it will all be ok as computers & general bolt on parts is the way to go!
Its like all these generic maps people put on there cars & think its the fastest thing in the world & it will be safe...    Not atall!

Like you say the tuning industry needs opening up & tuning should be done properly like the oldskool days, but just with more modern tools etc.

I think theres money will be changing hands just to make the problem go away
svm have already contacted the guy by pm asking him to drop it and hes turned round and said 'il post my findings once I have necessary evidence and you wont stop me' so fair play to him for speaking up as theres a lot of worried people out there at the moment who have all had there cars mapped and various stages of tune by svm

that's why ive binned my set up in favour of someone who knows what there doing.
ive had my fingers burnt too many times in the past with poor mapping and im fooked if il let it happen again especially on a car which will cost thousands of pounds to sort out
these people should be banged to rights and made to pay for their shoddy work, not just take money for a third rate job.
this goes for all cars not just gtr's

Big hp to some is just bragging rights really, luckily that is something this forum has never had. A 1500hp GTR will be fookin quick in a straight line but im not sure how good it would be on a track.
