This is the filter that came in the air box. Looks in good condition but does anyone know how to clean it and will it need oiling?? Or should i just get the original type??

Think to be on safe side I'll get a paper filter. Watched a test on all sorts of filters on the rollers and they all came out the same so no real problem using a standard filter aposed to after market

Just seen this

DONT buy a cheap knock sensor off eBay as they do not work, the ohms reading on them is much lower than those on gtr, they work on scoobies but not gtir although they look identical.

Evidentially that one you have that's cracked was reading over .56 mega ohms so it will work fine, as said before just because it's cracked does not mean it's no good

If Leighton wants to sort you out with the little bits that's fine, no doubt I will have everything but need to try find it all, now George has gone I need to try find all these bits and it's not easy as could be anywhere lol

It was reading .564 so does that sound ok bob? If you left the multimeter connected to it the reading started going abit all over the place though lol.

I have just noticed the knock sensors range from £15 to over £250 so I thought there might be an issue with the cheaper ones because that's a big price gap.

I just don't want to go though the hassle of fitting that other one just to find out it's no good but it's got to be getter than the one that's on it at the moment

Yeah that's a good reading, it will work fine so no need for a new one.
Measure the reading on old one when you remove it and if you have less than 556 then it's deffo a knock sensor fault but if it reads about the same as the other one then it could be a prob with the wiring between det sensor and ecu

New ones from Nissan are around 220 with the vat
