Here's Bill's stunning red GTIR this car was running a completely standard setup appart from the large front mount intercooler. Unfortunately his car struggled to make boost because the dump valve had started to come appart on the long journey down to the meet and he was crowned the winner of the "Spoon of Despair" for making the least power on the day but it was all good fun and for charity. We are pleased to say he has now resolved the issue and the car is now back to normal and producing good power from the standard setup, although his pride may need a little more work to be back upto spec

I'm shit at write ups so I'm not suggesting you put that in the mag but if you are going to mention me winning the spoon, something along those lines will be acceptable. I just don't want to make my car look bad that's all

It will be writen as a club event so will just be something about the day and club as a whole

I thought you might be mentioning the winner of the cup and the winner of the spoon lol. You get the idea though mate, just sugar cote the shit abit lol. I suppose theirs no need to mention the spoon at all lol

plus we raised a few squid for a good cause which no one else has ever bothered to do

I'm glad they have agreed to put us in there mag, I will be buying that issue because I will be looking forward to seeing it

On the 19th of april we as a club www.gtir-motorsport-club.com in amalgamation with www.gti-r-us.co.uk who supply Nissan pulsar performance parts decided to organise a rolling road day in aid of cancer research to which we raised the grand sum of £252.52 which we are very proud of as there are not many of these pocket rockets around any more.

We have around 500 loyal members from all walks of life at gtir motorsport club and the club is growing all the time with members being worldwide.
We even had a car arrive from the isle of white and many others from all over the uk attended, some travelling many miles. in all there were 24 gtir's and 20 of those ran on the rollers in Milton Keynes.
It was a fantastic day with a good spread being laid on by the dyno company,
There were many like minded petrol heads peering at each others cars wondering what power they would make on the rollers. theres quite a lot of banter amongst the lads but no pub bragging rights with regard to whos got the most bhp and my cars better than yours syndrome which unfortunately is the case on some forums these days and indeed at many meets, so everyone got along like a house on fire..

The top bhp car on the day belonged to a member known as aron, gorgeous looking car that's been significantly modified but was running low boost on the day as its still undergoing improvements with mapping ect, he made 361bhp but is capable of around 100bhp more.
most of the other cars made between 250-350bhp respectfully.

After all the cars had ran we decided to take a trip to the nearest pub with a car park large enough to accommodate us all where we had a beer or two and a bit of tucker, after that we then arranged a majority of the cars for a little photo shoot in our own corner of the car park, couldn't firt them all in but got a majority in the shoot with the biggest bhp car taking pride of place in the centre. We all then dispersed into our own little convoys back to various corners of the uk. There were only minor issues with a couple of cars but all got home safe and sound and a great day was had by one and all.
Roll on the next big gtir event which we are all looking forward to as there are some big power cars on the horizon.

Theres life in these old dogs yet, so next time you see a big scoop in your rear view mirror take another look and move over as could be one of these little jap rockets behind you.

Guys I need high res photos, the ones I have copied and pasted to banzai the quality isn't good enough.
Were the photos taken with camera phones or cameras?
