Paint color for my R!

Ok everyone....

I've had enough with the flat black....and I want to change the color.

Since my R is not standard anymore I don't want any of the original GTIR colors.

Please advice!

Sand it down let it rust and rat it

There is some nice ral colours like jamies  concrete r im also doing a ral colour  .... also check out some of the new minis paint colours  ... i guess  depends on if you want a subtle colour ..... or a omg its burning my eyes kind of style

You need a colour that suits the GTiR so think carefully... Some cars look good in some colours then you see the same colour on a different car & it looks shocking

Good point that Gaz, I've always liked that bayside blue colour you get on skylines but it just doesn't suit the R in my opinion, it's a nice colour but just doesn't seem to work well with the R, infact all shades of blue seem wrong on the R, the only blue one I have seen were the colour works well is a nice wide body R in a metallic navy blue colour.

I think the best colours on a GTI-R are red, gray and white and black but it's too common lol, basically all the stock colours look best imo but not necessarily the original Nissan paint, just my two cents

Take a look at my R and concretegtir's car and see two completely different approaches to colour schemes, my R is painted really in your face shiny bright red and concretes R is a really flat gray colour but in my opinion both colours suit the car really well but obviously look completely different, I suppose it depends what you want your car to look like

Honda Championship White...

Honda championship white is a good choice, it's not like a brilliant plain white like the audi colours but it's not as dinghy and yellow as the Nissan ivory white either. I think it would be a nice colour on the R and it's a very 'jap' shade of white

I hate green cars yet the winter green looks very sharp on a stock looking pulsar
best colour around imo but don't look so good if the cars been modded

stay away from bright metallics in my opionion like the greens and the blues, the only metallic i have seen and quite like was midnight purple. Also colour coding is a no i think you need the black to break up the colour you choose but again this is all my own opinion. Ive seen some nice colours about at the min as alot of manufacturers are going back the the flat/pastel look. or you got honda pirates black, thats a badass colour

3 cars i think stand out candy red sort of colour, midnight purple, and andy on the other forum its like a blue spec when light hits it totally different to any other R i have seen he says it was on from before import i think but looks nice

hes right. Colour coding the inserts etc on a older car looks weird

Agree dont do it some cars yes but the lines on the R break the shape up just right inc the bumper ones

Agreed, Black stipes on bumpers & doors look far better than colour coding

I think colour coding looks ok    I suppose my car is different because it has the body kit and i think it suits the car being colour coded with that kit in that colour. I have thought about putting a stock black number plate surround to see how it looks.
I agree though stock R's look better with the all the black plastic trim bits, it's part of the cars character

i agree with jamie on the wine colour!!

depends on what you are looking for, and what do you want to show...
for a standard nice car, i will go for a genuine colour (blue grey is a good choice!)

or white...red...

Yep that is the one i thought ofwhen i wrote it. Plus a friend had a car that colour was not a R tho. I quite like two tone see alot of silver/dark grey saxo's seen few year back a red and white R looked nice or white and red can not remember now
