I've seen many people do it on their R's. I wouldn't mind some extra space in the bay so the question is has anybody done it on the forum? what to do with all the fuel lines that ill be left with (block them off?) any dangers with removing the filter?

No danger removing it, uk cars don't come with them fitted.

Dont block all of them one is a breather/vacume from fuel tank

so basically, - block the one that comes from behind the intake and leave the breather ( one that comes out with the other 2 fuel lines) open.
