I have just bought a genuine Nissan oil filter listed for the GTIR, it came in the post today and this is the pat number
15208-70J0A
Is that the right part number for the GTIR filter because I have seen a few different part numbers mentioned when I searched online

Also what oil filter does everyone else use in their R?
I found this thread of somebody comparing different brands of oil filter that you may find interesting

Apparently you can use this filter from a Toyota celica in the GTIR.

Not sure if that's true I just saw some guy on a forum saying that's the filter he uses in his GTIR

It's interesting to see that the quality varies so much between the filters, I personally use genuine Nissan filters, lets face it they are only £7 which is less than you would spend on a packet of smokes or a couple of pints, it's just not worth being cheap as if over time you have poor filtration it is going to cost you a lot more than what you have saved on oil filters, just my opinion mate.
