Hi all,
does anyone here knows something about them? or already use them?

i've been offered a GT2860RS at 700 euros so a little less than 600 pounds. 300kms only

i don't know much about turbos, apart i would like to have the boost between 2300rev and 2700rev/min
quick spooling and good spec to arrive between 300 and 330 bhp.

i want it to bolt on directly on standard manifold and standard exhaust...so does it suits to my requirements?

bargain if its a genuine one

I was running similar on my track car and at around 1.65bar will make close to 370bhp and spool up is super fast
nicknamed disco potato

a lot of people are reverting back to the faster spool units now such as the gt28r, 2860r, and 2871r all 3 are great tubbys

thanks bob!

about the flange, you can bolt all thes tubbys directly on the OE manifold?

i think so! the guy put a HKS wastegate on it (don't know if it's good or not...)
he paid 1300 euros for it + the wastegate.

part number looks like it's genuine.

i give a call to a turboshop in here to have a quote too with my requirements...i will see in the evening.

yep straight bolt up job really
if you have the one with 3'' intake then you may need to grind a bit off the gearbox bellhousing to connect a silicone coupler or fit around 3 ex manifold gaskets to move the stock manifold away from the block a bit but its not too much bother.

paul........yes told you they are good, glad you like it, makes a fair bit of difference over the stock tubby

Yeah mine starts spooling about 2300 but i do have quite a long intercooler run. I bet with stock intercooler positioning like you fred power is gonna be almost instant.

yes but you need to find out what the spring weights are that's fitted in it as may have either 1 bar or 1.2 bar spring fitted which in a nutshell means you wont be able to run any less boost than the spring weight even if you run direct from plenum to actuator with a pipe and bypass boost control solenoid
