Why get somebody to fit the fuel pump it really is an easy job even for a novice nothing complicated mate .

didnt think about depressurising the fuel system so i got fuel all over the place, the wiring i think will just get done for peace of mind i thinkMr B wrote:Would only rewire pump if voltage particularly low when checked.
Main thing is to de-pressurise the fuel system prior to any work then you don't get fuel everywhere. stuck old rubber pipes on metal fittings can be awkward but a very small electical cross head worked up a little way & a bit of wd sprayed in & trying to rotate pipe then do same opposite side will get them off with no or minimal damage. other thing is check & check again for leaks & fuel pump supply once up & running. its all quite easy if remain calm & leave the big hammer & prybar in the tool drawer ;-)
