Brake kit?

Looking at upgrading my brakes on the project car. was looking at wilwoods but they seem very cheap compared to tarox, hiteq and ap racing is this because there cheaper made? what have you lot got on your R's?

I think gaz has wilwoods on hes r bebb....

yeh got willwoods on mine but cant tell you what thre like as my mastercylenders goosed so never had full effect of them since fitting them, ive got to change mastercylender.

But I drove my mates R yesterday & nearly put myself threw the windscreen when I hit the brakes So there not bad, but out of all makes I think HI SPEC are ces for your money.

yeah was looking at hi spec but didn't want to pay the price tag

Try fitting carbotech xp10 pads and new braided brake lines and decent fluid all round before you spend a fortune on new calipers and discs, think you will be very surprised.

ive got a set of hispecs just in if your interested
couple them with xp10s and you've got an awesome set of stoppers

or I have an ap kit already fitted with xp10s
the pads alone will cost you around £250 if you had to buy them

Pads are £160 per set, and if you fit them to the front you need to fit them to the back too.

will be dearer on 4 pot kit though as pads obviously bigger

I have willwood 4pots on 310mm discs and bells running mintex 1144 pads .
Pads did squeak when i first fitted them . but realised over the winter the calipers were not centred with the disc so fitted 2mm spacer to centre the caliper and now the pads are silent !

Also stopping power is unreal

Nope he is the same price for standard rear pads as 4 pot brembos.

I remember you saying how good they were when you fitted them, ive got carbotech rears in my car now (pulsar) but need to get the fronts for the brembos, plus another set for the r35

I will have to get it of the wall in my workshop, carbotech does shite loads of choices of material, speak to him,tell him what the car is,what weight and what you do with it and he will select the material to suit what you do.

They do xp8 to xp20, 8 being fast road and 20 being heavy bastid car on track with slicks and a million hp.

Where can I get a good brake kit? I live in Germany right now. Anyone got any for sale? Or know someone/somewhere?

Just anything that's relatively cheap, and not covered in rust. I definitely need rotors, but i think I could use new pistons as well. I just wanna get the thing on the road:/

What size wheels are you running .... will be dependant on wich kit will fit under them ..
