Very nice Johnny Twisted Evil only thing I would change is main vent on bonnet?? Maybe get it wrapped to match carbon?? Otherwise looks mint and one if the best colour for the R

I have the proper carbon vent mate just not fitted it. This is my old carbon bonnet it’s cracked it was when I bought it. hence used to have stick on reg of my other R. I removed that and fitted full plate for mot where small plate used to be. Removed white stick on part put black rear on just to hide crack where someone slammed it onto original catch. Still lots to do under bonnet was bits I had rather that buying bits. Needs paint but it’s solid and mechanically sound now which is what I wanted

Oh and check your pay pal says it’s eventually cleared mate god knows what went on there it’s been months

Looks good, got to love a wide arch, just makes you wish Nissan stuck with it and done an R evolution .
Could of been as cool as the Lancia and as bold as the 6R4

Keep at it Johnny thumbsup

I missed this post! looks so good mate, very jealous, wide body, colour and carbon is a nice look. Whats the deal with the fin thing in the passenger side intercooler pipe?

It’s disperses heat and no scientific test done but I do have a air temperature sensor in my ic pipe well did on my other R when I ran it and tried before and after on several occasions and it was considerably lower after the fin pipe then before it. Know they use heat sinks like it on electronics and they deffo work

Chris It transfers heat from hot to cold. So unless ur intercooler pipe work is hotter than the engine bay it works backwards.

I have a cold air intake and bonnet is raised to disperse heat and like I say it works for me on mine with few tests nothing massively scientific. The fins are a different material which I believed would stop the reverse effect

I dont understand why people have there bonnet raised. This is a high pressure zone when the vechile is moving and the bonnet already has vents.

Seemed to let heat out as I removed the rubber at the rear. I just thought of cooling when your static and when I had Turini bonnet it’s less vented thought it would all help

For a cheap test tape some cotton wool to different sections of you Bonnet. Gives u an idea where the air flow goes. If you have an account on GTIROZ check my ride blog as i have some data on there using a manometer.

Not trying to come across as negative just trying to help out. Shit im even blocking my main front vent as i don't have a top mount.
