Is their a how to on the forum for checking the rocker gap to the cam... i couldnt find anything but then again i couod be wrong.

Yep thats the jobby im talking about Smile
Im getting their slowly. I need to check the spray bar and the gap, as the lobe on poston 1 on the intake looks like its been getting hot. Its not marked or chipped or dented or any scoring so I need to catch it now and find the issue.

I did read this on one of the posts and bob had said 0.1 is better as its less chance of throwing rockers at higher rpm?

Dont use those torque settings unless you use new bolts or i guarantee that youll snap the bolts in head
Just tighten them by hand with 3/8 wrench until you feel they are tight and they will be fine

people strip cam cap threads in SR heads a lot too, tighten down in more small steps  making sure cam not binding and going down even and don't worry about torques till final step then check them to lowest value 9Nm & dizzy drive cap bit tighter .

Ive only taken the bolts needed to remove the oil spray bar, one hole was/is currently blocked.

Yep Mr B it was, its been sat in a bucket of thinners all night and when lifted out about an hour ago it seems to have clreared but I will leave it in over the weekend and let it clear everything.

zap it with some brake or carb cleaner be sure .
