has anyone ever had a issue with the dip stick being too far back?

before I had some work done to the car a few years ago the dipstick was clearly visible and accessible.

Since that work was done it further back under the manifold and hard to get at?

any thoughts

the dip stick goes in and out after a bit of a struggle. but im sure it used t o be visible and there. If you mean bending the actual tube then no. I haven't tried that

What kind of work ? A lot of people try and put the tube in wrong thinking the flat bit at the very bottom goes towards the block which it don't

Yeah you might want to take it out and move it about its probably been put in wrong like Johnny said.

Easy anough to to just tap it up and out then re fit, you may want to oval the end slightly so it doesnt keep coming out and tap it down gently

Also clean the end and put a little thread seal on to ensure it stays in place and doesnt leak.
