While looking for standard bushes i found that whiteline W92446 cross over to s13,s14,s15,gtir. Read a couple of threads from some people saying if you want to use standard 200sx bushes you have to ream the middle metal tube out?

Anyone confirm or point me to some standard bushes

Thanks

another option for the uk could be these >

you should also find extra helpful auto-factors or icp can supply oem type .

Those are the ones I have fitted Mr b! You need to completely remove old bush including metal sleeve of original to get them to fit. Think the powerflex and like, you have to keep original outer sleeve.

^ how did you rate fit & finished result & use with these ?
price seems reasonable & they do accept offers so should get that well under £50 inc delivery, supporting british manufacturing too which not a bad thing .

I have just polybushed the whoow lot using nolathane from Oz, that'd all the arms though - exceptional quality and half the price if I'd of bought powerflex from the UK....

The subframe bushes I used duraflex from the UK and used 200sx bushes as i crossed the part numbers and they are the same bush. Not as good on the quality and a little hard but for the money an absolute bargain. Unlike the gtir ones you need to smash the collar out which is normal on 200's etc

I didn't want to go polybush because of how hard the compound is so i was looking for standard bushes.
I have looked for part numbers but nissan4u doesn't show any for alot of the nissans so its not just gtir like i thought.

I have messaged ICP just now so may get a reply

I work in the aftermarket and sell standard pattern bushes nearly everyday of my life - the one piece of advice I would give you is if you are going to the trouble of dropping the subframe and you don't want poly then for gods sake DON'T use pattern stick bushes, get genuine. The quality is night and day.

If I was you then I would be looking at a soft poly compound. Go there once and then you can forget about them. But as said if you really desire standard then genuine ONLY.

Mr B I went through eBay. 'Online performance' was the retailer. Main reason for going through eBay is the high protection for buyers and when you are getting stuff from the other side of the world it's obviously high risk.

Took a while but that's to be expected I guess.

I understand what your saying but i suppose it depends on what make of pattern bush you buy.
I've used many over the years and have used reasonable makes and have never had a problem. i don't think genuine would be available but i will check tomorrow. If all else fails and nothing is available what sort of poly should i look at?

I've also fitted all the superpro bushes for the rear except for the subframe bushes and it drives smoothly and isn't bumpy. I was only trying to cure a bad bush creak looks like its the subframe bushes

It would be strange for a subframe bush to give a creak, not impossible I guess though? It's just they don't really move so there isn't really anything to creak, if you had a creaking subframe bush I would be worried lol

Did you grease the bushes correctly when fitting etc? Only doing working surfaces etc? I wonder if you have a bush moving in situ etc?

Totally up to you what you buy mate. Just my 2p worth Smile

It was like it before i changed any bushes, i also get it from the front lower arm bushes but i haven't tried white greasing the fronts. Its the rear thats louder and it does it over humps and when i lower it down on a 2 post ramp.

When i got the car 4wheel aligned the bloke reckoned one of the bushes was fudged. I popped them out the other day and there fine really and that was the only reason i changed them.

Hmmm i might try greasing the whiteline rear arb bushes
I did put them on dry

I can't see any common aftermarket manufacturers making these bushes as standard spec replacements, If likes of icp or other specialist can get them they will more than likely be oem nissan.
Nolathane looks good option in terms of good product & more reasonable price but plenty of other options to suite worldwide locations, owner requirements & budgets.
eric performance was doing the whiteline ones for 100 bucks.

I used the type that needs the collor removing, fairly easy job shame I did it on a rare British hot summer day, sun bearing down on me while using a hack saw with a fooked blade!  I looked like a piece of cooked meat with the juices running clear Laughing

fitted exactly like above ^. fit good, nice and tight to, so no slop, had to press centres in as I couldn't push them in by hand, so that's good. car drives well with them in. can't comment on road noise as I have pillowball mounts on struts and had a front exit exhaust last time I drove car. Very Happy Laughing Very Happy Laughing

Certainly cheaper than the superpro version which are 230quid and considering all the other superpro bushes for the gtir are cheap.

The Duraflex price is very good, like £12 a bush. nice they do in black too . Nice to see couple people happy with product & fit too .
they use shore 80A which seems sensible for subframe.
company also will do custom runs so would be possible get small production run of all rear & front arms/arb's etc & specify material spec .

Phoned nissan and they have two in stock and two at the factory, thanks for p/n mr b. £7.50 a piece so £9.00 with vat should be a couple of days. I do remember seeing some small tears in the bushes when i had the subframe down last time.
