Christmas Lights

Well I thought it was about time I got all the Christmas decorations out and got the lights out! I love anoying my purist nabours who hate lights although im going to end up like an emerican as I seem to have a small obsesion. Havent got the stage of 5 foot santa on my roof yet but its getting there.

Who hates them and who loves them? Lol

I like them, some people go to crazy lengths with their Christmas lights, so it's pretty amazing to see. I don't see as many these days as what there used to be though. I've been to a few where people have decked their whole yard out, must have taken months to do.

I like to see them but do t have them myself.
My xmas tree has been up a month already haha

I do sell xmas trees at work though and hate them too

I cant be arsed tbh its all a big fuss over nothing .... bah humbug lol

Exactly that woody .... dont get me wrong i dont mind christmas but it loses the magic when you actually grow up and realise you got to pay out for gifts lol ....

I do hate the fact you are expected to pay all this money for presents etc. People should just use the opportunity to get together, get pissed and have a good time etc.

But when you grow up you can buy whatever you want for yourself

I quite like the holiday time, some nice food etc & a basic gift or 2 maybe. As a staunch atheist christmas is nothing more than a public holiday to me . do have some pretty decent christmas decor at malls & large company offices around the city though.

Just another time to feed the economy.

I mainly feed myself over economy, i'm not one for buying much junk & generally hate frivolous spending & so economy won't be gaining much from my family . unwind time is nice, would hate to be working in retail lol . Do you barbecue your turkey woody I'll be having roast duck with ginger & green noodles

Haha we bbq, but not turkey. Normally have steak, sausages, rissoles etc duck would be good though, didn't think about that

^ haha, christmas for us is warm, no rain no ice no snow lol, don't think anyone in uk will be having a bbq could be wrong on that though lol ...

Don't have any lights up myself, but over the weekend was out and about and lots of homes decoroated, not into Christmas myself, just over it.

But, now that have Grandkidlets, have to get involved and share in the activities.

Having a different Christmas lunch this year. Youngest son's partner is Lebanese and having a function at her family's home. Should be interesting and a change.

It's a great time of year to be a kid, sucks when you grow up though

I go for a curry every year at Christmas they even do christmas turkey curry! Cant beat it with a few pints then roll back home for some more drink!

It's time for the kids but like you say just spend a lot. It's one of my few hold from work but most places I need are shut

I've told my children that due to the ongoing global recession and tough fiscal climate Christmas is cancelled this year!

By the way, why does Santa have 3 gardens?

Yeah not a good time of the year to work on the car, a lot of shops close up
