What size wire you using? 0.6mm is better for thin metal, thats what I used. 0.8mm for thicker stuff, 1.0mm for 5mm thicker but need a good welder.

That'll be part of the problem then mate, nothing wrong with using 0.8 wire but 0.6 is better for thin metal.

Got a little more done and looking better mate. I'm going to switch to gas and .6 wire for some other stuff I wanna do though.

Yeah I was doing a quick circle motion to tack it but maybe I should be doing something different?

Shocked err just a second or less to tack, here's one of my dodgy videos, excuse the finger Laughing oh and it was slightly thicker steel

Same principle on thin stuff but prob half the time, get a scrap piece of metal and practice..

Circle motion on thick stuff, moving the puddle along.

That makes sense, nice video btw. I wouldn't say my tacks are super long but I could certainly reduce that time.
