Oil in the intake/intercooler pipe .... excess play in the shaft ...take the turbo intake off check it.. yes you can also suffer loss of power if the wastegateis badly cracked ...you can also get smoke and loss of power from a boost leak ...

When you say shaft is that where the propeller looking things are? Dont realy know much about turbos. Basically i have no boost whatsoever and am pretty sure there is no boost leakes, i have taken the wastegate apart and that looks fine to me. I have only done about 300miles since i have put new engine in, i am thinking i have done something wrong when puting it back on the car as its only done 3k since i last had it refubed

After watching this yes there was play in the shaft, bit gutted ready as its only done 3k since i had the turbo done,cost alot of money aswel.

No not hybrid, i have sent it off today, i will find out whats up with it monday and have it back wed thursday ish. Another question is can you lose ALL boast if your turbo is fooked?
What i mean i lost boost in the matter of seconds, not days months and with no warning.

Yep, you can loose all boost. Chris with the almera turbo had the same problem, turbo blades jammed due to to much "shaft play" lol. Let us know what they find before you spend ££££'s as you might have other options.

wouldn't waste my money with a lot of these turbo builders as they never do them right
would rather pay the extra and buy a new turbo or a known good secondhand one
