Grinding for bout 4 hours yesterday at work in the bodyshop, took goggles of to have a butchers and grind for one second bang. Metal in eye. Eye waters then it went. Woke up this morn with eye killing managed to graft till 12 before i give up n went to ae. Got the metal out my eye with a needle and now its left a rust rung soo gotta go back tomorow. To get it cleaned again. First time its happend to me in 10years of bodyshop work. Now ill never do that again.

your a fookin nightmate with a grinder tom lol

I feel your pain though, streaming eyes and nose and really uncomfortable

ive got a lump still embedded in my left eye from around 20 years ago
that was from grinding under a shitty old Cortina to weld a plate, was lying on my back and a bit broke off and went right in my eye, they got a big lump of it out but theres still a bit in there that had gone so deep they could not remove it so got a rusty eyeball now  Laughing

Give it time & you'll do it again as just some things can't be done accurate enough with goggles on. Do keep a spanking new pair & have decent side shielded glasses when super good vision needed but yeh like most I spent some time at the wash room mirror getting stuff removed from eye with tip of ball point pen :-S
bit of a cyborg then Bob, not surprised as heard rumours you had a ford badge riveted to your left buttock :-D more of a cortina bobby than a pulsar bobby lol ...

I hate getting shit in your eyes when grinding. When I was working for a painting firm on the London underground they used to give us the shittest equipment ever and I got more shit in my eyes because of the wank glasses they used to give us. I thinki would of had mor protection wearing my oakleys Laughing fortunately I never actually got anything inbedded in my eye though, that must be awful.

I have recently noticed I have a small dot that's always there on my right eye, I can't focus on it because it's at the top of my vision and when I try to look at it, it just moves with my eyeball lol I know that will be from getting shit in my eyes from tha stupid job!

Haha bob tel me bout it. Never has a disc exploded on me untill i was cutting that shell up n 3 went in a day.

Im ok tho. And yes nosh is running like a bitch. It wasnt to bad with the needle as was under anisthetic, was horrible to think bout tho. I do wear goggles 90% of time but that od time i need a better veiw or a quick trim.i had welders flash once and never had that again so i guess after this episode i wont be doing that again. Aparently tommow im just in for detail. And a machine polish lol
