The engine has been stripped down and checked.
I just need to bolt the gearbox and transferbox onto the engine and install it.
the newer wheels need stripping and powder coating before the rubber goes on them.

my aim is for it to be on the road sometime in june.

I made an online order for some paint lastnight online at jawels. theres one 2 mins from my house so i clicked on the in shop collection. then when i payed for it it said collect from the birmingham shop Sad the site advertises all branches so i emqailed then saying i wanted to collect from wolverhamton.
got a reply saying thats ok just go in the shop and they would do it while i waited.
i thought i would phone them first so they could get it ready.

guess fucking what. Evil or Very Mad

They said they cant because i orderd it at the birmingham branch and they are a franchise so arfe nothing to do with the birmingham branch. WANKERS! Evil or Very Mad

dosnt say fuck all about that on the site! the site is setup as if its the main site for all the branches! Evil or Very Mad

Cant do fuck all until monday because no-ones in the offices. theyre gonna have a piece of my mind monday morning! Twisted Evil

i was gonna paint my wings and bumper today Sad

I managed to do a little on ther car this afternoon Very Happy

I fit the alternator and starter motor to the engine, finished bolting the transferbox and gearbox to the engine.
i then put the water hoses on and sealed them up, sealed the sump on and fit the engine loom.
I then put the poly droplink bushes on the car.

Then put the engine on a skateboard and pulled it round to the car. Jacked the car up as high as i could and pushed the engine under.
Then i lowerd the car as low as it would go and possitioned the engine.

Thats as far as i got because i had to pick the mrs up from work.
If i get time tomorrow i will bolt the engine up and plug it all in and fit the plenum Very Happy

I forgot to update this.

The engine is bolted up now. The engine mounts are shot tho so Bob is sending me a set Very Happy
I put the rad on and piped it up, conected the loom to everything and solderd some broken wires.
I've put the driveshafts in, bolted the exhaust up, bolted the propshaft and gearlinkage up. (Gearlinkage is clunky?)
My bro is popping round to check the cam timing before I put the tensioner in and put the plenum and topmount on.
There's 2 plugs at the back of the engine I can't find where they go. They are between the coolant plugs and the standard oil cooler plugs? One is the same as the det sensor plug?
Also there's one by the lambda sensor at the front of the engine, its a small white plug?
I can't get any pics up because my camera is bust Sad

As soon as my bro has been round I will put the fluids in and finish putting the bits I mensioned on nd fire it up Razz

I still have the wheels to refurb, the rear brakes to collect and fit and the windscreen to replace. But that's it Very Happy couple of weekends and she should be ready for the mot Very Happy

My aim is still for the japfest2! I have a few jobs to do for people which should pay towards my insurance and tax Very Happy
