Gonna put a thread up. This will be about a month behind work on my r i currently have no enthusiasm for it what so ever atm. So need a bit of a jeer. Some of have seen the project elsewhere maybe a social network app. Sny way just 2 pics to how it sits atm

The colours are either what i have made or what i have bought lol. Engine wont be getting touched till winter Smile first job is to get a new cross member made up. Fabbed up a quick one then its going to get it bent next week then will fit cooler get some pipes made up n start mocking the front end up

It will be made in cds to meet all specs

One of tje above could be a right option. All ill say is the main aim is to be the lightest r. Power/engine can com later

Also regarding soace if i can get hold of kierons old rad thats for sale on here that would fit perfect in my plans right behind the gtr cooler if not its getting slung in the boot Smile

Cheers for the kind words people. This weeks jobs are

1 finish seam welding the engine bay up
2 fit my new steering rack Wink
3 get my new crossmember taked inplace
4 get rollcage tacked in place
5 tack a bit of sheet metal in sunroof hole

Will see what actully gets done though

Did you make your own roll cage ? ..... good luck with the welding in the plate for the sunroof  .....its hard work  getting a descent  weld without distorting the panel ....seems like you know your way around a welder though Wink

No its custom cages jobbie. Ahh dont worry bout the roof its only temp. All will make sense in a month or so Smile

Oh right ....ive seen some of there cages  look quite good quality work ....i saw one in a bmw as i was welding up the diff for drifting .

If your planning on a really light R could you not fill the sunroof hole with carbon fibre or plexi glass?

Just somthing i have done in my breaks and dinner tome at work. Will be finishing them off and take them to get load tested so i know they are safe

Yer there are really good im just not paying 300 a set. Ill probs make a few and put them on ebay for half that tbh.

And yes will still run skirts Smile
