harnesses

just trying to get my head round fitting my harnesses, first thing is where abouts do people bolt them under the seat, is it dead centre of seat and is there one eye hole for the 2 bottom harnesses of one eye hole for each side?, secondly I was going to fit the shoulder harnesses to the existing seat belt anchor points and was wondering what eye bolts to use ive seen some for sale and they are 7/16" UNF Thread the right ones?

also what is the maximum width for road legal use 2inch or 3 inches?

lastly my harnesses have nothing on the ends of the shoulders so no catch to fit any eyes, how can I fit clip fittings to these, If I cant then I may need to swap my harnesses for 4 point as mine are 6 point and are abit overkill

If you have a rollcage you can do what i did.
i undone the clips and wraped the harnesses around the rollcage and then put the brackets/clips back on.

never thought of that stu, thats a good idea , what about underneath the seats was there one eye bolt or 2 per seat

I think i wrapped one side round the cross bar and the other was bolted to the original seatbelt place. i think lol

just out of interest would my car pass an mot if I had the 2 bucket seats fitted and left the original original seatbelts?

(cant insert link) but I have cobra suzuka seats, they have a slight bit sticking out just where the belts would lye

Bit OT but anyone know where I can get a spare 3" lapbelt for a 5/6 point sparco setup?I have a brand new harness I've not got around to fitting and can't for the life of me find one of the lapstraps.Also have a 4 point passenger one equally neglected.
Can't see sparco direct selling me one.
