RTV shelf life?

Hey everyone, I hope you're all well.
Coming from the North, I'm a bit tight. In fact shove a lump of coal up my arse and it would come out a diamond.
I've a tube of Rienzosil RTV, unopened which I was going to use for an engine rebuild.
Thing is it's about 2 years old. Previously I've used old RTV without even thinking, but I've heard they have a shelf life of about a year.

I was wondering do you just use up any old RTV you have lying about or is it always a fresh tube no matter what?

This is a really good question. Some googling give a few different answers but unopened 12-24 months apparently but that could depend on storage temperature.

If it was me, unless its crazy old, if it comes out the tube normal I would probably use it.
