Will keep this short mini went in drove in for timing x amount of pounds. Rang and said he dropped bit of old guide into sump. Ok shot happens they go brittle yes I will pay the extra £145 strip sump etc clean it all ok so car is ready tomorrow. Missed call dinner time today oh we stripped it got all bits of guide out that were ALL ready in there out put oil in and started your bottom end is knocking and we can not do work until 14th June.

Thoughts ? I will tell you mine fix it at no cost to me ASAP trading standards will be getting a call I will take you to court. Well that’s the kind version

Sounds like you gotta case Johnny bet they fight you over it though as it's your word against there's about a knocking bottom end ... where did you take it .. was it main dealers or independent garage ?

Bmw and mini specialist well only thing I have going for me is fact another garage/mechanic dropped it off for me as they don’t do the job. But it’s his mates place but I said that’s fine don’t write me a letter I hold you responsible that got his attention.

Just had another job done different garage different vehicle. Only 2 clips on Uneder tray ( ok clips snap I ain’t stupid) missing heat shield ( ok they rust/corrode) let me know I would of got both and fired myself. Missing battery blanket ( no excuse just pure shoddy work)

That sounds super dodgy mate, you know what they are going to about the knock though, hard to prove maybe? I would be filthy
