Far out, he says the car is almost complete but that body is shot!

mini pretty much mint, they not much better when straight out factory lol .

38 bids and £820!! All it is is a ball of rust. All you are buying is the Vin plate really! What is the attraction people have to minis anyway?

When Alec Issigonis was designing the mini, all he could find to draw it with was a joiners pencil. The people making it assumed (and rightly so) these thick lines indicated that was where they were meant to install rust. Same goes for all 80's Fords too although I think they were designed with Crayola's instead.

All that auction is for is indeed the VIN number. Somewhere out there is a £500 shitter of a B reg mini that's is going to get different doors and front grille and a hefty hike in value.

You've obviously never driven one tyeritr! Imagine a road legal go-kart with a roof and 'heaters' and the ability to out corner most cars on the twisty's, even to this day 

My mate had an old mini as said it's like a little go kart all I could do was chuckle to myself driving it being 6ft2 with me knees up round me ear holes bombing about the farm it was fun to be fair ....

Sure ben likes his mini's and not sure if he still visits but Fred from France was into his and still is by his instagram

I've got a 79 mini van with a 1330 race engine 45dcoe and a SC box in it. Makes 91 bhp at the wheels and does nearly 60 in first. I'm also 6' 2 and 17 stone so look like donkey Kong driving it. But it always puts smile on my face and everyone turns to see what's making all the noise!

You are correct, I have never driven one. I suppose that's why I don't get them, maybe if I did drive one it could change my mind. I'd imaging though you would be quite sore driving a go-kart for an hr or 2 on real roads and not a track  
People probably think the same of our pulsars as as I do of the mini. Just a different taste in cars.

Yes, great little cars to drive.
My second car was a mini van and back in the 60's 'commercial vehicles' had a 40 mph speed limit. Got stopped no end of times by the police and issued with warnings..

If there's one car in life you simply have to have a go in typeritr, its a mini. Even a puny 1L will put a smile on your face because you can thrash it everywhere and not break any speed limits and it'll out handle just about anything on the road. My two favourite cars I've owned have been Pulsars and minis

Is the uk sunny for sale?

I rememeber this for sale on the modifiers the guy wanted 1800 for it very low but as it was a Sunny and arches looked a bit iffy I never bothered going down.

Looks in better nick in those pics than it did years ago so I was too picky! Oh well

Tom...........yes that was the car which i bought in the end. Actually the underside & Turret areas are totally free of rust its mainly just the rear arches that need doing and a repaint where paint has discoloured.
Interior is mint and engine / transmission etc are perfect and starts on the button

Yeah it was a steal. I didnt think of the bigger picture snd Sunnys were not always that sort after but even with the dirt on her she looks grand ;-)
