Hi all,

Had my baby for a few months now and I'm in love. Just thought I'd say hi and show a few pics. Had a look through the forum and you guys know your stuff, so looking forward to learning more about this amazing little car. Had the pleasure of driving a mates R back in 1999/2000 and was hooked. I've lived and worked in the city for years, so had no need for a car. Plus back in the day the insurance, as a youngster, was totally unreasonable. Now older, maybe not wiser, I finally have my dream car. Looked for a while trying to find a stock one (not easy) and came across a Black '92. It's straight, no rust, interior's in good nick and she still purrs like a kitten. Only mods are a 3" Remus exhaust system, adjustable KYB super special street suspension, 17" rims and a Whiteline front strut brace.

Pics below cheers stu

Are the kyb special super street springs and shocks or coilovers?

Shocks and springs. The adjusters are dampening force.

Cheers to everyone for the warm welcome.

In two minds of what I want to do to the car at the moment. Plan to do the usual stuff, clutch, bushes, rear strut brace and most likely
some coilovers. On the look out for a second motor to rebuild but unsure how far I want to take it. Do I work the shit out of it and go
Porsche hunting Twisted Evil or do I just rebuild to original spec and save myself a lot of heartache down the track?

Also, had one quick question. Going to replace my Diff, Transfer Case, Gearbox oil etc... After a lot of reading and about 1,000 different opinions out there, I think I've decided to go with Redline. Should I use Lightweight Shockproof or Heavy Shockproof? Any feedback would be appreciated.

your best off just using semi synthetic 75w/90 oil all round
i use this all the time and its been fine! also the cars used in harshest of envioroments (being track) if its gonna break then the oil wont help or save it if the wears there already.

thats just my opinion though!

No need to change the kyb for coilovers! Just uprate the bushes to poly on the arb's etc.
The kyb super specials, streets and rally are perfect!
No need to build an engine until yours has broke!
Build up the engine mods and get it mapped, 350ish hp is entry enough and if mapped right the engine can and should cope with that easily.

That's my point of view anyways.

On your standard setup with topmount intercooler I wouldn't go above 1bar of boost. You should see 280ish flywheel hp. Get the fueling checked always when you hike the boost up!
The standard ecu fueling should be fine for 1bar! It's always best to check tho!
