Pulsar has been on a classic policy for a while now and it costs me about £225

Now I never thought for a million years I could insure my evo cheaper than that .

But today I insured the evo for £182

I have had to limit the mileage to 2000 miles .
But as it hasn't done 2000 miles in the last 4 years that's nor really an issue .

When we bought it 7 years ago we were quoted £1500 how things have changed

Yeah both with Lancasters

And that price for the R is all mods declared and at 400bhp

Evo is completely standard .. how often does that happen

Good to hear someone getting a good deal instead of being raped of their money lol

I drive mine every day so cant have limited miles on my policy.
Saying that tho I couldn't get the pulsar on a classic policy.

It probably helps I live in one of the lowest crime rated areas in the country and they are both garaged..

Not really sure . But I know from speaking to the insurance companies they take how long you've had the car and how long with mods into consideration . .

For example my R is insured as 400bhp and ive owned for a long time and they have covered it .
If my mate who is same age tried to insure it like he's just bought it the bloke at Lancaster insurance said they wouldn't cover it ..

The only reason they have is because of experience with the car

When I bought my subaru. One insurance company said they woukdnt insure me because I hadn't owned it for 12 months. Because it was a performance car.
I explained I had owned 6 pulsar gtir before with more bhp. But they said that didn't count for anything. Crazy!
I remember being 18 when I passed my test and the broker told me when I was 25 my premium would drop because that was the age insurance companies concidered you to be more mature. I couldn't wait to hit 25 haha
I only payed just over £300 to insure my mini back then and I thought that was loads Laughing
