My GTiR has been SORNed for (maybe) 7 years now and in my garage - all because of a split rear hose. Best laid plans and all that - I did make a start on fixing it a couple of years ago, but a shoulder injury stopped that plan. So it stayed in the garage!

It has sat there doing nothing for years, and now I want shot of it. The question is - Is it worth spending the time, money and effort to get it on the road again then selling it, or not, and just selling it as it is?

Worth loads more fixed and with mot on it.
You may be lucky and get £1500 as it is. Maybe more depending on condition and mods...
Fixed and with mot you are looking at £3000+ depending on condition and mods...
Any pics of the car?
Location?

As said it would be worth more fixed and mot'd however it does still depend on over all condition of it. Was it just the rear hoses and apart from that it was fine? Condition wise as long as its not seriously rotten you can get good money for a well sorted R. However after a long stand you could easily have to invest over a grand to get it all up and running again.

These are the only photos I have. I am in Durham. Having read the replies, I am more persuaded to get it fixed up and get it tested! I have a few weeks off soon, and a mates garage, so I might get my hands dirty after all!

just Oscar+'s - not that flash really!

If I get it fixed up it will be to sell it. I won't keep it. It will go towards a deposit on a boat!

Are you Flat in 5th?

spw_355

spw_355

Hello all. Yes. On the Modifiers Forum/Club thing I was Flat-in-5th.

This thread started a year ago, and yet again I have done absolutely nothing about the car! I have 7 weeks summer holidays and not a thought of fixing it has crossed my mind! It has to go! It is wasted sitting in my garage!

See all the photos and information above! Nothing at all has changed - apart from the age! Everything is a year older!

Where is the best place to 'advertise' these? Here? Ebay? Facebook?

(Off now to turn on some notifications so that I can keep in touch!)

Facebook is probably best.
Have you a price in mind?

It would be best to fix it and mot it to get the best price for it!
For a couple of hours work and a small cost ypu will add thousands to the price!

^^ as above
if you can get it tailored somewhere it would need a very full service and health check before putting it through an MOT but those checks alone could be worth it to get an idea of cost to get it back on the road - then it would be worth much more
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Aaand its gone! Just waiting for the transporter to come and collect it! (I just don't have the time or inclination to fix it - and haven't had for several years now!)

I will keep my Nissan fix up with my Juke RS, and my Navara!
