hey guys Newbury saying hello

Heya guys just been directed here from ads on Facebook so thought I would take a look and see what it's all about.
Brought a pulsar back in November and been nowt but a brain tease for me as I am no mechanic although I do have a halfrauds socket set if that entitles me to be a diyer hehe. Needed few bits for car but bad experiences on fb with a dismantler selling parts and lost a lot of money which is one reason for coming here.
I Joined another forum when I got the car and seems dead on there with nothing really happening but this seems a lot more busy so think I will be at home here if you will have me that is as sure will bore you all with bags of Qs no doubt.

Everyone starts somewere so dont worry about asking questions, there are loads of how to guides and sticky threads for info. You will be able to do quite a lot with a humble halfords tool kit and generally the R is not that bad to work on.

Have you got any plans for it and how are you finding ownership so far?

Welcome to the forum everybody is welcome here and like tom said we all have to start somewhere .... when you say bad experiance ... was it duff parts or something .... what kind of state is your r is it a well spec'd or more of a standard beast ....

Hey thanks guys, really like the car it's what I gather to be the rarest black colour but understand the paint is thinner so makes black ones fastest hehe.
Just be happy to get the bits I need to get her fixed up and may restore my faith in the car and hopefully make new acquaintances with forum members instead of cheats that frequent fb

Yeah I would just draw a line in the sand and move forward. For a 2.0ltr turbo awd the Pulsar is relatively cheap to maintain and parts are good value in my eyes compaired to others. Maybe some bits are getting harder to find but generally not.

Hey thanks guys just shows what a difference a day makes, had offers of parts from a few people and I really can't thank you enough for offers but spoke to Bob at gtirus today and he has offered me everything needed at a price I could not resist so going on a weekend holly by the sea and collect parts
Also found out some info on my she'd before I bought her as Bob knows the car so that helps with its lack of history
also got some stuff to look through about the fb robber as I now call him
what happened to my part s page in the other section as can't find it now not that it matters now
