I did some searching and couldn't find the answer I needed.

Is there a difference between short and long flexi pipes?

I want to run a short one like below. My exhaust has a long one atm and its torn to pieces from scraping on speed bumps etc. Its the second one ive replaced for this reason....

If it has a long one on it already its probably been cut to that length so i doubt your be able to use a shorter one ...

I dont mind adding another section of 3inch pipe in there, I guess the only difference in flexi lengths would be the amount of movement in the joint.

The top one I would use only for heat related movement like an external gate dump pipe. The second would be better. Remember a transaxle engine has more exhaust movement than a rwd so when it's fitted make sure it's not under pull tension when fitted. As when the motor moves it will try stretching the exhaust beyond its limits.
