pistons

Hello there pulsar people,is it possible to remove a piston/rod from below without pulling the head off? I think one of my oil control rings has failed (still have good compression and the stem seals look in perfect order). any help with this greatly appreciated.

I think id be right in saying its not possible mate im afraid ....
