no side lights or number plate lights

Hi people, I went to change the ns headlight bulb today for the mot and I noticed the connector block had melted at the earth terminal, I replaced the bulb and still have no main beam I am going to replace the connector block but also since I have changed that bulb none of the side lights are working or the no plate lights, I have checked the fuse for tail lights (6th one down) and it's ok I have also tried changing it anyway but still nothing, any help in resolving this issue would be much appreciated thanks in advance

Ok so I've got the side lights switching on intermittently by manipulating the stork and switching the lights, so I'm going to get a New stork and head light connector block, hopefully it'll all be sorted then.

Sorry for the late reply .... its not uncommon for them to melt the connector you got to remember these cars are 20 plus years so the wires havent got youth on there side ....

We have stalk if needed , may have light connector too if I can find them

Use decent ceramic connectors for back of headlight bulb.
