Could someone please take a pic of inside the fuel filler neck.
Mine doesn't have an insert in it.
It still holds pressure.
Would this still cause me problems or is it just so you don't put the wrong filler nozzle in?

Looking at it tho. You can't screw a cap into that?
Wonder if phase 1 is different?

Think I have got mixed up with the fuel filler on my R and golf.
This is my pulsar one and it looks fine.

Stu, ya don't want the insert, we have those silly inserts in Australia as part of compliance regulations and they are a pain in the arse.

They are only held in with "sikaflex" and they keep un-sikaflexing and then they leak.

More permanent fixing is done by using stuff like Selley's Knead-It, it sets hard and doesn't leak.

If yours still holds pressure with the original neck and cap, I wouldn't worry and leave it.

As you said, just be careful you don't put the wrong filler nozzle in.

Thanks mate.
Yeah it's holding pressure so no need for me to mess with it, so I will just leave it be Smile

Yeh I had a sizing adaptor in mine for the compliance testing.
It locked in with 3 grub screws from inside, was soon removed as made filling a messy job as couldn't sit nozzle in a way it wouldn't get splash back which kept cutting the gas pump off & wasting fuel :-/

^ Makes it only take the petrol pump sized nozzles same as non jdm models so stops you putting diesel pump sized nozzles in !

oops ;-) compliant to regional vehicle specifications, bit like mph & kph & speed limiters etc, some conversion people done it & others only do what needed to scrape approval. Probably a case of making the conversion work look more complex & inflating charges  for the conversions if it not needed for your countries import approval. Surprisingly thailand is quite fussy on imports (mainly as like robbing easy money) & make a fuss on compliant standards for likes of this filler adapter lighting & number plates.
