Hey guys, I need to confirm distributor wiring for my haltech. Could anyone tell me by colour what which wire from the distributor is used for?

Alright well based on a few bits of random information I can find, the distributor is:

Black - Ground
Red - 12v
White - Trigger (Main)
Green - Trigger (Home)

Your wiring remarks for the R Distributor look right to me.
You got user manual for your haltech with pin out/loom tail colour for the ignition wires. white nissan goes to haltech trigger-main & green nissan goes to haltech trigger-home. will then have setting options for sensor trigger such as nissan optical. Ducie probably know exactly what. what ...

Thanks B well the haltech diagram seems a little confusing to me, I'm using the GY core on mine. But my assumption is the following and also matches a thread where a guy was wiring an older e6k Haltech. So based on colour its straight forward. Yeah Nigel is super smart when it comes to this stuff.

(Dizzy) red - (haltech) red
(Dizzy) black - (haltech) blue
(Dizzy) white - (haltech) yellow
(Dizzy) green - (haltech)  green

You need to find out what color wire in your new harness is for trigger 1 and the other will be trigger 2. The haltech manual will have that info. Pull the cap, button and shield off the dissy to check the wire colour.

Trigger1 (also called REF or crank) is the optical sensor with the 360 one deg slots, Trigger 2 is the inner slots. ( Also called Cam or POS)

Thanks heaps mate, I'll pull the shield off this weekend and confirm. I'll see if I can find that trigger info on the haltech cd as well.

Red wire from dissy goes to pin 11
Black wire from dissy goes to pin 14
White wire goes to pin 1 (trigger +) yellow wire
Green wire goes to pin 2 (home +) green wire but cut wire near ecu plug and swap to yellow wire on GY/B harness.

Hope that makes sense if not tomorrow I'll draw up a pic.

Just for note, I had to wire this optical sensors (CAS) to ECU's 5V sensor supply (or 8V, 10V, what you have), because the Nissan's wiring is so "noisy", and I had many wrong crank position signals just before.

Nigel Im going to pull my loom apart on the weekend, contrary to what you said in post 11 I think I might have wired it incorrectly.

I think I may have confused myself and the Dizzy green wire (home +) is still connected to pin 5 instead of pin 2.

This thread also indicates the same

Ill keep this updated

Also are we sure on the dizzy the white wire is trigger + and green wire is home + or should I do some more investigating?

I pulled an old dizzy apart and interestingly enough its all one module.
