Anyone seen these leather skins for the dash before? Personally I probably wouldn't use one, but good condition dashes are getting harder to find these days so it's another option.

I'm tempted to buy it as it would match my interior.

Good to know if it's a nice fit

Yeah the picture looks good, but how well they fit is another story. Has anyone got a boot surround or a lid cover from them before? I wonder about the quality?

It would almost be worth it to buy the console cover just to see what how their stuff fits.
Anyone know how much work it is to pull the dash out so you could get the cover on?

Ah thats good to hear. My only concern is how hard it would be to get it glued on straight with no bubbles and such.

Being leather I think the material would be relatively thick so bubbles shouldn't be too hard to manage. I'd be more worried about how well the cover actually fits the shape of the dash and doesn't look tacky

Yeah that would also be my concern although i guess it can be retro fitted first ...

I'd like to buy one to try if they weren't so expensive. I'll let u guys know what the boot is like.

Ya, for that kind of cash i hope it actually looks good. Not like some big chunk of leather sitting on top of the dash.

Yeah that's very true. Not that I've ever looked into it but are there other ways to fix cracked dashes etc?

Here is a pic of the gear boot. The quality is really good but the fit is not as good as the factory boot. The material is a lot thicker so the top of the boot doesn't sit as well either.

Hmm, It does look pretty good though!

Now that you have the boot, What are your thoughts on the dash cover?

It doesnt look to bad woody .... better to be thicker than a wafer piece of cat skin or something Laughing

Hahahaha very true!

Well the boot seemed to fit alright for me, there is a hell of a lot more joints to get right in the dash cover though. The seller left a note with contact details in the package saying any problems please call which is unusual for eBay. So any problems they might be alright to deal with.
