1Battery code + Rocker box torque settings Empty Battery code + Rocker box torque settings 4th December 2014, 8:35 pm

I recently got my old car back, and the battery is dead where its not been used in ages. The one on it is tiny, which I always found strange. Can anyone confirm which battery code I should actually be using, and also the torque settings for the rocker box gasket (which is leaky at the mo!)

Thanks in advance

Imports have the tiny battery, believe the micra K10 battery fits.
I changed my battery tray for one from primera (metal frame & plastic frame bolt perfectly to stock position then you can fit something worthwhile.

As for rocker cover you probably best getting new OEM nissan gastet, bolts are not torqued but nipped to suit, xpect you got old & hardened gasket or it been replace for pattern part gasket & they leak better than an old rover :-D

Cheers Mr B - sounds like it is indeed another tiny battery Ill be getting then!

I have bought the pattern kit off ebay, so looks like it will be leaking Sad Is it just the rocker box gasket itself on the kits which is no good, or all the other ones too?

I found the whole kits to be shite to be honest, OEM is different league on seals.
Seems u got it you can try your luck but I only use OEM on these as hate having do job 2 time.

are you Mr Green who had  quite a clean & rather nice looking white R (white wheels, wilwood calipers) and sold out probably good 2 years ago !?

Well very sensible thing to do Mr Green.

Hope it as clean looking as when you sold it ... have fun ...

Use oem gasket & no need for sealant, not a big fan of sealant in rocker cover.
Shocking to use a new seal that also needs a seal :-/
just my view though & having done many many gaskets over the years I hate with a passion the sh1te pattern part seals :-)
