So I had my head under the dash today trying to fix the brake light sensor (which is an absolute pain in the arse) and I noticed this bracket that looks welded to the back of the clutch pedal.

Is this something that's been done on the dodgy? Is there something factory missing?

No its a clutch support bracket altho it should bolt on

Let me see if i can find a picture
I think i am right in saying the later cars had them fitted as standard but the earlier ones did not

Certainly not as elegant as mr nomads brackets but suppose it doing same job but just looks bit of a rushed job shall we say.
Was the later oem bracket same idea as what you done nomad ? assuming so as never seen anything much different.

Yeah it does look abit rushed but seems to be doing the job at the moment. It was just when I saw it and it looked horrid, I figured it must be something that's been added at some point Smile

The oem brackets are slightly different to the ones i made as they have a return piece above the pedal wich i think they did for extra strength but the brackets i did are twice as thick so i kept it more simple as didnt see the need for it ...

Mmm mr johnny, the use of parentheses in your sentence would suggest mr nomads pimping charge is valid & just charge.
Did wonder why you had typed like that but now I understand :-)
