So as I'm currently running a multicoil setup on my R, I'm only using the dizzy for a crank angle signal. You can see my dizzy is exposed at the moment and I'm not keen on leaving the original cap on.

Does anyone know how I blank off the dizzy in the pic below? Or if there are any other options apart from pulling mine apart?

cut rotor shaft down & fab an alloy cover, not aware of specific kit available.
You could dump it completely for a crank sensor setup.

Hey mate, I'm using an aftermarket ecu for this setup. Not sure of the options (if any) for a standard ecu. What's your reasons for not wanting the dizzy?

ideally i would love separated coil packs... dizzy loses spark etc and maintenance is better i agree that coil pack can give up as well but i just think it's better set up

I prefer separate coil packs aswell, they are a good set up however the standard distributor will also work fine for some solid power aswell.

dizzy itself is silver not black so best as is or done a dull silver to look more like cast alloy. easy done & makes it safe & tidy plus stops dirt & water getting in if got small bead of sealant on it. Another job jobbed woody, back to your spaghetti now :-)

Exactly right B, seal turned out pretty good. I've got to use some stuff to clean the dizzy up, I think stu used some good stuff I might check out. New ecu is getting there, custom dash next Smile
