Quite chuffed
I've been invited by Nissan GB to run my car at the nurburgring Tuesday after the rally day
Still awaiting the details from them and not sure what it's all about really but basically I think it's giving passenger rides to people from what I can understand of it
Nissan GB have a pop up stand there and we have to be there for a briefing at 11.30 then track is open in open pit lane format for rest of the day so have full use of the main straight aswell

Bit nervous as there are some good drivers going including Andy Clark who now has a monster powered gtr, think there are 6 of us in total so will be a good bit of networking for our new Motorsport company and the rr centre too
Just hope I don't crash the fooker

No idea if it's a corporate type event, time trial or what
Think it's gonna be one of those things where you find out the itinary last minute. You just turn up where your told at a certain time then suck it and see kind of thing

Yeah I'm really chuffed to be invited on this as there are only 6 selected and never applied I was just invited

There's also a hospitality lunch laid on at the Nissan stand there setting up all free of charge

GP circuit is open too so guess I may be taking some round there. Would love that, I'm not that quick on the ring as I don't really know where I'm going or what's coming over the next crest so always air on the side of caution.
Different story on that GP circuit though, I'm in my element round there and think I can scare a fair few people in suits lol

Do you want my go pro bob if so just let me know i can give you it at rally day and it has the rear screen so you can see its right place etc

Missed some great action on the track with shite cameras so thought stuff it il go buy myself one

Just got all the details through today from nismo themselves
It's there 30th anniversary and that's what it's in aid of
We also get loads of nismo goodies chucked in including genuine nismo t shirt ect so really looking forward to this

Il get lots of photos and some vid footage too on the ring and gp track, really is a one off event and I'm bloody chuffed to have been selected to take part in it, let's hope the skybarge holds it's own as there are some very fast cars there and top class drivers too

Can't wait to hear the outcome and footage. Such a great opportunity and I'm sure you'll get a lot out of the day mate. I'm pretty jealous I wish there were more tracks over here!

If you hurry up and get my Toyota across il sling you in the back and drag you along with us, you've got 8 days to make it here

well off in early hours of the morning for this, should be really good and been looking forward to it
just bought a go pro aswell so il hopefully get some onboard footage and a few pics for you

I've been working on the car all day today and despite being told 'not to by many on the gtroc' I'm gonna be a guinea pig and I'm going to run Dunlop run flats on the front and Michelin pilot super sports on the rear as I believe this will help with understeer if you really push on yet keep some stability to the rear.

If this works and I don't end up wrapping the car into an Armco  then this may also help with the pulsar as same understeer characteristics
Every one has told me not to do it but to my knowledge no one has actually tried it so here goes

Dont wrap it for christ sake. I know when some people say dont do something as it wont work as its been proven not good then listen or pay the price. But as we both know handling is a different matter and personal preferances and driving style ther are no rights and wrong in my opinion. When everyone was modding for big camber on pulsars i stuck with the whiteline settings for fast road and worked well for me as ther slight changes to standard without going overboard

Don't know if you've got or seen Litchfield do something that gets rid of the understeer. Just watched a video on YouTube litchfield gtr. 2 touring car drivers tested it

Yeah seen that aron, was Ben chilterrn and someone else driving the other one that had one of there bump steer kits and few other bits done

As you rightly say 'each driver has their own preferences' and to me after thinking about what the cars doing I think this will improve things no end
I took her out tonight whilst the roads were quiet and nailed it round a few bends and it definitely feels a lot better but that's just on the road. Maybe the ring isn't the time or place to test this but il just bite the bullet and go for it and hopefully prove everyone wrong

If someone had come back to me with a reason why you can't do it after somebody had actually tried it then I would have reconsidered what I was doing but no one has

i did however get overtaken by Michael krumm who holds the lap record in the nismo gtr round the ring, he ran a 7.08 lap time and he was there giving passenger rides in a full race prepped nismo gtr and ive heard he ran a quicker lap with a passenger in the car
he came past me very quick, i tried to tag him but almost went off on one of the bends tryng to keep up with him then i decided it wasn't such a good idea after all
by Christ that car is fookin fast and the whole car just does not move on a bend, he is one seriously quick driver in that

Yeah the tyre combo worked well contrary to what I was told so was right to try it and il also try this on the Rasheen or any pulsar now as I think it will help massively with understeer issues so watch this space regarding that

Was a brilliant day and one of the best days on track I've ever had despite a couple of very near offs as I was running with traction turned completely off and was a handful to drive even though the car was running on stock power base map without my knowing lol

I will sort the vids out and pics as soon as I get some time, one of them shows me having a couple of random rear end moments especially when the 4wd clutch packs started to overheat as sent all power to rear wheels
