my new r.. anybody know anything about history of it??

i have purchased this R as a project and a weekend car, needs money spending on it but hopefully it will be sorted soon.

its an usual colour but looks better in personal....

feedback welcome and if you know anything about previous owner etc etc

did it belong to a guy named luke from Essex?

Thanks Sparkie, its flip paint.. changes to purple to gold to blue.... got a few rust patches in the usual spots, so that gona be a night mare to get a match for spraying...    

Thinks it has got receipts from a guy called Luke, not sure on address but ill have to double check Bob, hopfully then 6 pots will help it stop a lot better then it does now

yeah thought so
at one time that car was running a fair bit of power and was well setup but then he sold it and think stuffs been removed from it by former owners and flogged on, think luke was from somewhere near us in Essex as seen the car down here a couple times, last thing he bought I remember was door hinges as doors had dropped but cant remember much more

yeah i think it is the same one Bob. You can tell the guy who owned it before the person i brought it off had spent quiet a bit of money on it... its a shame when they go to the wrong hands

hopefully can get it back to how it was.

Oh, Ive spoke to few people up north about mapping the dastek... not much luck so far... think its gonna have to be another ecu...

Yeah I'm sure it's the old styled dastec fitted to that car and believe it was previously mapped by a guy called Paul who owned engine advantages in chelmsford
They went bust big time lol

As said you can't really go wrong with apexi pfc as there's a wide range of tuners available and that's why I'm gonna be using one on my project
You also have nistune, motec, link haltech, syvecs and a few others but pfc is most widely recognised although some of the others have many more facilities with various adjustments sometimes simplicity is the key
